Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Curated: Asia | JAY CHOU x SOTHEBY’S | Day Sale, which included the work Krusty Grin by Ron English. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 90,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 100,800.00 (€ 10,949.49). Admittedly, works by Ron English have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Slash 'n Friends (Album Cover) in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 92,500.00 (€ 64,343.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Curated: Asia | JAY CHOU x SOTHEBY’S | Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Krusty Grin von Ron English zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 90.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 100.800,00 (€ 10.949,49) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ron English auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Slash 'n Friends (Album Cover) im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 92.500,00 (€ 64.343,35).
