Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included this untitled work by Rómulo Macció. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 43,750.00 (€ 39,704.15) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Rómulo Macció have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2016 the work Sun and Cold on Nassau Street was auctioned for USD 81,250.00 (€ 76,810.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Rómulo Macció zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 39.704,15) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Rómulo Macció konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2016 die Arbeit Sun and Cold on Nassau Street für USD 81.250,00 (€ 76.810,36) versteigert.
