Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Por fuera y por dentro by Rómulo Macció was auctioned at Christies in New York in February last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 16,250.00 (€ 14,477.90) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Rómulo Macció have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sun and Cold on Nassau Street in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 81,250.00 (€ 76,810.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Por fuera y por dentro von Rómulo Macció kam im Februar letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 14.477,90) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rómulo Macció auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sun and Cold on Nassau Street im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 76.810,36).
