Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Longue pensée by Rómulo Macció was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2018. It changed hands for a price of USD 32,500.00 (€ 27,849.19) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rómulo Macció - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sun and Cold on Nassau Street, which sold at auction in November 2016 for USD 81,250.00 (€ 76,810.36).

Die Arbeit Longue pensée von Rómulo Macció kam im Mai 2018 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 27.849,19) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Rómulo Macció mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sun and Cold on Nassau Street beobachtet, die im November 2016 für USD 81.250,00 (€ 76.810,36) versteigert wurde.
