Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2020 Christies in New York held the auction The Unseen Eye: Photographs from the W.M. Hunt Collection, which included the work Girl About To Do A Handstand, Kensal Road, From Southam Street, 1957 by Roger Mayne. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,250.00 (€ 2,790.42). Other works by Roger Mayne have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,900.91) in November 2007 for the work Three Studies, 1950S.

Im Oktober 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The Unseen Eye: Photographs from the W.M. Hunt Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Girl About To Do A Handstand, Kensal Road, From Southam Street, 1957 von Roger Mayne zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 3.250,00 (€ 2.790,42) einen neuen Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Roger Mayne haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.900,91) im November 2007 für die Arbeit Three Studies, 1950S beobachtet.
