Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'In The Street, Burngreave, Sheffield', 1961 by Roger Mayne was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,019.89) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Roger Mayne have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2007 the work Three Studies, 1950S was auctioned for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,900.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit 'In The Street, Burngreave, Sheffield', 1961 von Roger Mayne kam im Mai 2017 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.019,89) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Roger Mayne konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2007 die Arbeit Three Studies, 1950S für GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.900,91) versteigert.
