This work without title by Rodel Tapaya was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2015. It achieved a price of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 17,600.51), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Admittedly, works by Rodel Tapaya have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Repatriated Bodies in October 2020 with an auction result of HKD 693,000.00 (€ 76,755.39).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Rodel Tapaya wurde im Mai 2015 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 17.600,51) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rodel Tapaya auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Repatriated Bodies im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 693.000,00 (€ 76.755,39).
