Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Rodel Tapaya could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th and 21st Century Art Afternoon Session auction, the work Grit; Skeptic; Scream; & Anxiety changed hands for HKD 62,500.00 (€ 6,606.73) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rodel Tapaya achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Repatriated Bodies in October 2020 with an auction result of HKD 693,000.00 (€ 76,755.39).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Rodel Tapaya konnte im Mai 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th and 21st Century Art Afternoon Session wechselte die Arbeit Grit; Skeptic; Scream; & Anxiety für HKD 62.500,00 (€ 6.606,73) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rodel Tapaya erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Repatriated Bodies im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 693.000,00 (€ 76.755,39).
