The work Protection in the Forest by Rodel Tapaya was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale auction at Phillips in Hong Kong in November 2018. It achieved a price of HKD 600,000.00 (€ 67,720.57), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 58%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Rodel Tapaya; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Repatriated Bodies sold at auction in October 2020 with the realized price of HKD 693,000.00 (€ 76,755.39).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 600.000,00 (€ 67.720,57) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 58%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Rodel Tapaya; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Repatriated Bodies im Oktober 2020 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 693.000,00 (€ 76.755,39).
