Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Marongrong by Robin Rhode was auctioned at Phillips in New York in March 2020. The price achieved of USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,760.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robin Rhode achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Street Gym in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 92,500.00 (€ 68,757.90).

Die Arbeit Marongrong von Robin Rhode kam im März 2020 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.250,00 (€ 4.760,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robin Rhode erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Street Gym im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 92.500,00 (€ 68.757,90).
