Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Late Fall by Robert William Vonnoh. The price achieved of USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,364.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Robert William Vonnoh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Blue Chair in December 2004 with an auction result of USD 71,700.00 (€ 52,962.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2016 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Late Fall von Robert William Vonnoh zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 7.364,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert William Vonnoh auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Blue Chair im Dezember 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 71.700,00 (€ 52.962,03).
