In October 2006 Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Christ by Robert Silvers. The result of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 4,482.27) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Silvers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dollar Bill in October 2004 with an auction result of GBP 53,775.00 (€ 77,397.02).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Christ von Robert Silvers zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 4.482,27) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Silvers erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dollar Bill im Oktober 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 53.775,00 (€ 77.397,02).
