A top price for Robert Johnson
In August 2007 Sothebys in Melbourne held the auction Important Australian Art Including Selected International Works, which included the work Australian Bridge Street by Robert Johnson. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 14,400.00 (€ 8,610.86), 20% above the upper estimate. With this result, Australian Bridge Street is even the most expensive work of art by Robert Johnson that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im August 2007 führte Sothebys in Melbourne die Auktion Important Australian Art Including Selected International Works durch, in der auch die Arbeit Australian Bridge Street von Robert Johnson zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von AUD 14.400,00 (€ 8.610,86) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Australian Bridge Street sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Robert Johnson, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
