This artwork by Robert Johnson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Melbourne in November 2004. In the COLES MYER COLLECTION auction, the work North Of Cairns sold for AUD 5,975.00 (€ 3,480.27) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Johnson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Australian Bridge Street, which sold at auction in August 2007 for AUD 14,400.00 (€ 8,610.86).

In der Auktion COLES MYER COLLECTION wurde die Arbeit North Of Cairns für AUD 5.975,00 (€ 3.480,27) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von AUD 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Robert Johnson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Australian Bridge Street beobachtet, die im August 2007 für AUD 14.400,00 (€ 8.610,86) versteigert wurde.
