Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Australian barcelona Night 8 by Robert Jacks was sold in the Important Australian Art auction at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of AUD 6,000.00 – 9,000.00, the actual price achieved of AUD 6,600.00 (€ 3,852.74) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Robert Jacks have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mister Bloom with his Stick Gently Vexed in May 2001 with an auction result of AUD 25,850.00 (€ 15,494.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Australian barcelona Night 8 von Robert Jacks wurde im August 2008 in der Auktion Important Australian Art bei Sothebys in Melbourne versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von AUD 6.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von AUD 6.600,00 (€ 3.852,74) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert Jacks auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mister Bloom with his Stick Gently Vexed im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 25.850,00 (€ 15.494,71).
