The »bidding war« ended at AUD 14,937.50 (€ 8,984.51), 24% above the upper estimate. Other works by Robert Jacks have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of AUD 25,850.00 (€ 15,494.71) in May 2001 for the work Mister Bloom with his Stick Gently Vexed.
