The work Silently Emptied by Robert Jacks was sold in the PAINTINGS FROM THE JOSEPH BROWN COLLECTION auction at Christies in Melbourne in May 2005. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 23,900.00 (€ 14,691.46), 59% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Robert Jacks; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Mister Bloom with his Stick Gently Vexed sold at auction in May 2001 with the realized price of AUD 25,850.00 (€ 15,494.71).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von AUD 23.900,00 (€ 14.691,46) und damit 59% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Robert Jacks; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Mister Bloom with his Stick Gently Vexed im Mai 2001 mit dem Hammerpreis von AUD 25.850,00 (€ 15.494,71).
