Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Barcelona Night by Robert Jacks was auctioned at Christies in Melbourne in November 2003. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 12,337.50 (€ 7,442.61). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Jacks - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mister Bloom with his Stick Gently Vexed, which sold at auction in May 2001 for AUD 25,850.00 (€ 15,494.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Barcelona Night von Robert Jacks kam im November 2003 bei Christies in Melbourne zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 12.337,50 (€ 7.442,61) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Robert Jacks mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mister Bloom with his Stick Gently Vexed beobachtet, die im Mai 2001 für AUD 25.850,00 (€ 15.494,71) versteigert wurde.
