Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Summer by Robert Jacks was sold in the AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS auction at Christies in Melbourne in May 2004. The price achieved of AUD 2,390.00 (€ 1,396.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Jacks achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mister Bloom with his Stick Gently Vexed in May 2001 with an auction result of AUD 25,850.00 (€ 15,494.71).

Die Arbeit Summer von Robert Jacks wurde im Mai 2004 in der Auktion AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS bei Christies in Melbourne versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 2.390,00 (€ 1.396,40) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Jacks erzielen.
