Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Cowboy) by Richard Prince was auctioned at Phillips in New York in November 2007. The price achieved of USD 265,000.00 (€ 180,419.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Prince achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Runaway Nurse in June 2021 with an auction result of HKD 93,986,000.00 (€ 10,209,316.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Cowboy) von Richard Prince kam im November 2007 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 265.000,00 (€ 180.419,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Prince erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Runaway Nurse im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 93.986.000,00 (€ 10.209.316,51).
