A top price for Richard Prince - as previously expected
The work Runaway Nurse by Richard Prince was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in June 2021. It changed hands for a price of HKD 93,986,000.00 (€ 10,209,316.51) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 75,000,000.00 – 95,000,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Runaway Nurse is the most expensive artwork by Richard Prince that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Runaway Nurse von Richard Prince kam im Juni 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 93.986.000,00 (€ 10.209.316,51) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 75.000.000,00 – 95.000.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Runaway Nurse das teuerste Kunstwerk von Richard Prince, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
