Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2021 Phillips in London held the auction New Now, which included this untitled work by Richard Long. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 17,640.00 (€ 20,686.56), 18% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Richard Long have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 200,000.00 (€ 171,379.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2021 führte Phillips in London die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Richard Long zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 17.640,00 (€ 20.686,56) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Richard Long auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 200.000,00 (€ 171.379,61).
