This artwork by Richard Deacon achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in October 2018. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Six sold for GBP 40,000.00 (€ 45,107.66) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Richard Deacon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Breath, which sold at auction in June 2010 for GBP 85,250.00 (€ 103,671.93).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Richard Deacon erzielte im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction wurde die Arbeit Six für GBP 40.000,00 (€ 45.107,66) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Richard Deacon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Breath beobachtet, die im Juni 2010 für GBP 85.250,00 (€ 103.671,93) versteigert wurde.
