Auction result well in line with expectations
In September last year Phillips in an online auction held the auction Color & Scale: The Estate of Martha Hummer Bradley, which included the work La Plata No 1 by Richard Deacon. The price achieved of USD 2,268.00 (€ 2,318.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Deacon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Breath in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 85,250.00 (€ 103,671.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September letzten Jahres führte Phillips in einer Online-Auktion die Auktion Color & Scale: The Estate of Martha Hummer Bradley durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Plata No 1 von Richard Deacon zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.268,00 (€ 2.318,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Deacon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Breath im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 85.250,00 (€ 103.671,93).
