Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Christies in London held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work (i) Mirage 1 (ii) Mirage 2 by Richard Deacon. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,164.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Deacon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Breath in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 85,250.00 (€ 103,671.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit (i) Mirage 1 (ii) Mirage 2 von Richard Deacon zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.164,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Deacon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Breath im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 85.250,00 (€ 103.671,93).
