Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2018 Phillips in London held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Alphabet T by Richard Deacon. The price achieved of GBP 40,000.00 (€ 45,206.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Richard Deacon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Breath, which sold at auction in June 2010 for GBP 85,250.00 (€ 103,671.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2018 führte Phillips in London die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Alphabet T von Richard Deacon zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 40.000,00 (€ 45.206,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Richard Deacon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Breath beobachtet, die im Juni 2010 für GBP 85.250,00 (€ 103.671,93) versteigert wurde.
