Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Richard Deacon achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in April 2017. In the Made in Britain auction, the work 1 + 1 = 10 Red /Dark Red; And 1 + 1 = 10 Black /Purple sold for GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,671.91) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 900.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Deacon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Breath in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 85,250.00 (€ 103,671.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Richard Deacon erzielte im April 2017 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Made in Britain wurde die Arbeit 1 + 1 = 10 Red /Dark Red; And 1 + 1 = 10 Black /Purple für GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.671,91) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 900,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Deacon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Breath im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 85.250,00 (€ 103.671,93).
