This artwork by Richard Crosse achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in July 2010. In the An Exceptional Eye: A Private British Collection auction, the work Portrait Of King George Iv, When Prince Of Wales (1762-1830) sold for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,520.89) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Richard Crosse have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of John Crosse (1721-1776), The Artist'S Father, Circa 1770 in December 2019 with an auction result of GBP 52,500.00 (€ 62,048.86).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Richard Crosse erzielte im Juli 2010 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion An Exceptional Eye: A Private British Collection wurde die Arbeit Portrait Of King George Iv, When Prince Of Wales (1762-1830) für GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.520,89) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Richard Crosse auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait Of John Crosse (1721-1776), The Artist'S Father, Circa 1770 im Dezember 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 52.500,00 (€ 62.048,86).
