The work Self-Portrait, Circa 1775 by Richard Crosse was worth GBP 12,500.00 (€ 13,724.17) to a buyer in July 2019. This price was achieved in the auction The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures Part II at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Richard Crosse have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of John Crosse (1721-1776), The Artist'S Father, Circa 1770 in December 2019 with an auction result of GBP 52,500.00 (€ 62,048.86).

Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures Part II bei Sothebys in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Richard Crosse auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait Of John Crosse (1721-1776), The Artist'S Father, Circa 1770 im Dezember 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 52.500,00 (€ 62.048,86).
