Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of An Officer; Portrait Of A Lady (Possibly Lady Charlotte Seymour, Countess Of Aylesford); Together With Another Portrait Of A Lady By Mrs Anne Mee (Circa 1770-1851) by Richard Crosse was auctioned at Sothebys in London in September 2009. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,230.66) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Crosse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of John Crosse (1721-1776), The Artist'S Father, Circa 1770 in December 2019 with an auction result of GBP 52,500.00 (€ 62,048.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait Of An Officer; Portrait Of A Lady (Possibly Lady Charlotte Seymour, Countess Of Aylesford); Together With Another Portrait Of A Lady By Mrs Anne Mee (Circa 1770-1851) von Richard Crosse kam im September 2009 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion.
