Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work Rounding Cape Horn; and Micronesia outward-bound (both illustrated) by Richard Beavis for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,288.14). This price was achieved in the auction Maritime Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Richard Beavis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Halt Of Prince Charles Edward On The Banks Of The Nairne in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 24,892.07).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2011 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Rounding Cape Horn; and Micronesia outward-bound (both illustrated) von Richard Beavis für GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.288,14) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Maritime Art bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Richard Beavis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Halt Of Prince Charles Edward On The Banks Of The Nairne im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 24.892,07).
