In March 2011 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors Including Paintings, Drawings & Watercolours From The Collection of The Late John Appleby, which included the work Elizabeth Castle from the left of the causeway, Jersey by Richard Beavis. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,838.68), 35% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Beavis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Halt Of Prince Charles Edward On The Banks Of The Nairne in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 24,892.07).

Im März 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors Including Paintings, Drawings & Watercolours From The Collection of The Late John Appleby durch, in der auch die Arbeit Elizabeth Castle from the left of the causeway, Jersey von Richard Beavis zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.625,00 (€ 1.838,68) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Beavis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Halt Of Prince Charles Edward On The Banks Of The Nairne im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 24.892,07).
