Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work Broadcast Exercise – Sidebend Action by Ren Si Hong for USD 4,750.00 (€ 3,694.77). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ren Si Hong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Great Man Keeping Fit, 2005, which sold at auction in December 2006 for EUR 11,099.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Broadcast Exercise – Sidebend Action von Ren Si Hong für USD 4.750,00 (€ 3.694,77) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ren Si Hong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Great Man Keeping Fit, 2005 beobachtet, die im Dezember 2006 für EUR 11.099,00 versteigert wurde.
