Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled 12, 2011 by Ren Hang was auctioned at Christies in New York in October this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,032.00 (€ 3,815.29) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Ren Hang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled, C. 2013 in November 2018 with an auction result of EUR 18,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled 12, 2011 von Ren Hang kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.032,00 (€ 3.815,29) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ren Hang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled, C. 2013 im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 18.750,00.
