Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'Homme À La Ceinture', 2013 by Ren Hang was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in May 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 2,160.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Ren Hang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled, C. 2013 in November 2018 with an auction result of EUR 18,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit 'Homme À La Ceinture', 2013 von Ren Hang kam im Mai 2018 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 2.160,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ren Hang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled, C. 2013 im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 18.750,00.
