The work Les Feuilles mortes (Les heures mortes, El hilo) by Remedios Varo was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2021. It achieved a price of USD 2,682,000.00 (€ 2,376,184.99), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 34%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Remedios Varo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Armonía (Autorretrato Sugerente), which sold at auction in June 2020 for USD 6,186,800.00 (€ 5,508,681.33).

Die Arbeit Les Feuilles mortes (Les heures mortes, El hilo) von Remedios Varo kam im November 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 2.682.000,00 (€ 2.376.184,99) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 34%. Für andere Arbeiten von Remedios Varo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Armonía (Autorretrato Sugerente) beobachtet, die im Juni 2020 für USD 6.186.800,00 (€ 5.508.681,33) versteigert wurde.
