Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ray Parker achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2010. In the First Open auction, the work without title sold for USD 32,500.00 (€ 23,895.30) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ray Parker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in May this year with an auction result of USD 166,695.00 (€ 156,462.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ray Parker erzielte im September 2010 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion First Open wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 32.500,00 (€ 23.895,30) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ray Parker auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 166.695,00 (€ 156.462,36).
