In February this year Bonhams held the auction Prints & Multiples | Live OnlineAbstractions, which included the work Untitled 18 by Ray Parker. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,530.00 (€ 1,443.12), 28% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ray Parker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May this year with an auction result of USD 166,695.00 (€ 156,462.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Im Februar diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Prints & Multiples | Live OnlineAbstractions durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled 18 von Ray Parker zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.530,00 (€ 1.443,12) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ray Parker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 166.695,00 (€ 156.462,36).
