It achieved a price of GBP 750.00 (€ 906.81), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Raymond John Vandenbergh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Three studies of lions and tigers, which sold at auction in July 2008 for GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,905.77).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 750,00 (€ 906,81) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Für andere Arbeiten von Raymond John Vandenbergh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Three studies of lions and tigers beobachtet, die im Juli 2008 für GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.905,77) versteigert wurde.
