This artwork by Raymond John Vandenbergh achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2008. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Three studies of lions and tigers sold for GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,905.77) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. This high result makes Three studies of lions and tigers the most expensive artwork by Raymond John Vandenbergh that we have observed at auctions so far.
