Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Untitled With Wall by Ray Johnson was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2021. It achieved a price of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 20,557.99), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ray Johnson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Comb, which sold at auction in March 2021 for GBP 47,500.00 (€ 55,800.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled With Wall von Ray Johnson kam im März 2021 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 20.557,99) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Für andere Arbeiten von Ray Johnson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Comb beobachtet, die im März 2021 für GBP 47.500,00 (€ 55.800,26) versteigert wurde.
