Auction result fails to reach estimate
In August this year a collector was able to acquire the work “Dali's House” by Ray Johnson for DKK 4,800.00 (€ 643.90). This price was achieved in the auction Modern art and design at Bruun Rasmussen and was even lower than the DKK 8,000.00 estimate set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ray Johnson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Comb in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 55,800.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Im August diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit “Dali's House” von Ray Johnson für DKK 4.800,00 (€ 643,90) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern art and design bei Bruun Rasmussen erzielt und lag noch unterhalb des vom Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreises von DKK 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ray Johnson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Comb im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 55.800,26).
