Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled - All About Eve's Clamp by Ray Johnson was auctioned at Phillips in London in December 2021. The price achieved of GBP 8,820.00 (€ 10,520.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ray Johnson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Comb in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 55,800.26).

Die Arbeit Untitled - All About Eve's Clamp von Ray Johnson kam im Dezember 2021 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.820,00 (€ 10.520,41) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ray Johnson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Comb im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 55.800,26).
