A top price for Rashaad Newsome
The work Sun King by Rashaad Newsome was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session auction at Christies in New York in May 2012. The »bidding war« ended at USD 50,000.00 (€ 40,439.99), 25% above the upper estimate. With this result, Sun King is even the most expensive work of art by Rashaad Newsome that we have observed at auctions so far.
