Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Rashaad Newsome could be acquired at Phillips in New York in March 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Under the Influence auction, the work Status Symbols #33 changed hands for USD 17,500.00 (€ 16,292.71) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rashaad Newsome - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sun King, which sold at auction in May 2012 for USD 50,000.00 (€ 40,439.99).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Rashaad Newsome konnte im März 2015 bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Under the Influence wechselte die Arbeit Status Symbols #33 für USD 17.500,00 (€ 16.292,71) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Rashaad Newsome mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sun King beobachtet, die im Mai 2012 für USD 50.000,00 (€ 40.439,99) versteigert wurde.
