Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Saltire Compton by Rashaad Newsome was sold in the Hip Hop auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2020. It changed hands for a price of USD 7,560.00 (€ 6,451.61) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Rashaad Newsome have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sun King in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 40,439.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Saltire Compton von Rashaad Newsome wurde im September 2020 in der Auktion Hip Hop bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 7.560,00 (€ 6.451,61) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00.
