In February 2017 Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included the work Count Audemars of Marcy by Rashaad Newsome. The result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 9,417.97) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Rashaad Newsome have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sun King in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 40,439.99).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Februar 2017 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Count Audemars of Marcy von Rashaad Newsome zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 9.417,97) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rashaad Newsome auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sun King im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 40.439,99).
