Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Alchemy by Randy Solon was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 43,750.00 (€ 4,151.65) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Randy Solon have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2011 the work Pray Or Prey was auctioned for HKD 81,250.00 (€ 7,060.93).

Die Arbeit Alchemy von Randy Solon kam im Oktober 2013 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 43.750,00 (€ 4.151,65) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Randy Solon konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2011 die Arbeit Pray Or Prey für HKD 81.250,00 (€ 7.060,93) versteigert.
