This artwork by Ran In-Ting achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2019. In the Modern Art auction, the work Waterfall sold for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 21,430.97) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ran In-Ting - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fishing Boats by the Misty River, which sold at auction in May 2010 for HKD 800,000.00 (€ 83,111.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ran In-Ting erzielte im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Art wurde die Arbeit Waterfall für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 21.430,97) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ran In-Ting mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fishing Boats by the Misty River beobachtet, die im Mai 2010 für HKD 800.000,00 (€ 83.111,00) versteigert wurde.
