In March 2015 Christies in Dubai held the auction Modern & Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art, which included this untitled work by Ramsès Younan. The »bidding war« ended at USD 18,750.00 (€ 17,456.48), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ramsès Younan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Contre le mur in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 387,000.00 (€ 344,674.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im März 2015 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ramsès Younan zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 17.456,48) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ramsès Younan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Contre le mur im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 387.000,00 (€ 344.674,03).
